can I find a class with certified instructors? back
to the top What
should I or my students do after learning Tai Chi for Arthritis Part I and II? I
would recommend for an average student to take half to one year at one lesson
per week to learn and consolidate the 12 movements, then another half to one year
to do Part II. You can also do the reverse side of Part II... then continue practice
and improve your forms and explore the depth of both. It
is important to work with student to understand the deeper meaning of tai chi.
Through repetition and applying the essential principles of tai chi you can gained
more benefits and true enjoyment of tai chi. It is more beneficial and fun to
improve and consolidate what you have learned than learning a lot of new forms.
Please take a look at my article on "how to improve tai chi" and "what
is internal and how to improve it" on the article
pages of Dr Lam's website.
After
that you or your students can move onto Sun 73. Please note that the near magical
effect of tai chi comes from incoporating its essential principles with the forms.
These principles have immense depth. Working with the essential principles can
be enjoyable and even enlightening, avoid learning many forms for the sake of
learning new forms. back
